Who We Are

Our website address is: https://duracom.in. At Duracom, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors. This policy outlines how we handle your data with the highest standards of integrity.

Comments & Interaction

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check for usage. Upon approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Note: Gravatar’s privacy policy can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Media

If you upload images to our website (such as farm installation photos), please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images hosted on the site.

Cookies

To enhance your experience, we use cookies in the following ways:

  • User Convenience: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies so you don’t have to fill them in again. These last for one year.
  • Login Sessions: If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to check browser compatibility (contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser). When you log in, we set up cookies to save login info (lasts 2 days) and screen display choices (lasts 1 year). Selecting “Remember Me” extends your login to 2 weeks.
  • Content Management: If you edit or publish an article, a cookie indicating the post ID is saved for 1 day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos of mat installations, product demos, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website directly. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. However, if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security purposes. Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments: Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to allow us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
  • User Profiles: For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold.

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
